The Academy of Science of St. Louis invited Dr. Bruce Hemming and the MiL, Inc. to participate in the Carver Careers exhibit at the Missouri History Museum to talk about the recent salmonella outbreak in peanut butter based products as well as careers in the field of microbiology.
The presentation was given to four different eighth grade classes from St. Louis City schools. The students asked many great questions and according to Rose Jansen, Director of the Annual Fund/Science Speakers Program for The Academy of Science of St. Louis, the students enjoyed learning about microbiology and the salmonella and peanut butter outbreak.
The MiL also enjoyed the experience and looks forward to participating in similar events in the future.
